Herb Workshops for Schools

Our herb workshops are suitable for all Key Stages and above.

The herb workshops take place in the Herb Garden. Pupils learn to identify the herbs and discover their medicinal and culinary properties. A practical session follows, where the pupils can make infusions, ointments, pillow sachets, poultices and tea, just as the monks did here in medieval times. This is an exciting workshop in a truly wonderful location.

Herb workshops run on Mondays from March until October. A charge of £2.50 is made per pupil, and group sizes are limited to a maximum of twenty.

Please contact the Education Officer (01603 218320) to find out more or make a booking.
